Khaja is one of the most important prasad offered as a bhog in the Jagannath temple of Puri orissa. Khaja is a very popular Indian dessert of India. Puri Khaja mainly comprises ofrefined wheat flour, sugar, oil to make it a batter. It is made into layered dough and the dry fruits or other stuffings may or may not be added. It is deep fried until crispy. Then it is soaked in the sugar syrup until it absorbs the sugar syrup.
